Saraswati Yantra Worship

The word “Vidhya” (learning in English) does not mean  mere gaining knowledge, rather it is the art of living the life. It is the wisdom to differentiate between the goodness and evil. It is the skill to attain success in the desired objectives.

Be a student over the entire lifetime … Vidya is the ultimate element …

Every person should accomplish Saraswati Sadhana. The life is full of tests at every step. Every parent wants his or her child to obtain good marks in their examinations. Everyone wants to  improve his memory and to achieve success in interviews and jobs. You should definitely accomplish Saraswati Sadhana, if you wish to influence others with your words or desire to develop leadership qualities. There is simply no other way to achieve this goal. Goddess Saraswati bestows Her grace for the entire lifetime, after accomplishment, as She is not fickle like Goddess Lakshmi. She stays firm.

Saraswati Jayanti is occurring on 10 February 2019 this year. It is a Mahakalp. We can give a strong base to our life by performing Saraswati Sadhana on this auspicious day. We have published many articles on Saraswati Sadhana in the magazine in the past, however, it is a sad fact that the Sadhaks are much more interested in Lakshmi Sadhana compared to Saraswati Sadhana. However, the Sadhaks should accomplish the Saraswati Sadhana with their entire family, to enable development of excellence, courage, patience and continual curiosity. Accomplishment of Saraswati Sadhana by children  improves their basic foundation of life, and enables them to achieve full success in their chosen fields.

Sadhana Procedure

You should first perform Guru Poojan to achieve success in Saraswati Sadhana.

Setup Guru Picture/Statue/Yantra/Paduka on a wooden board in front of you, and meditate on the divine form of Gurudev Nikhil with folded hands –

GuruBrahmaa GururVishnuH Gururdevo MaheshwaraH |

GuruH Saakshaat Par Brahmaa Tasmei Shree Guruve NamaH ||

Bathe the Guru Picture/Statue/Yantra/Paduka with water after Nikhil meditation –

Om Nikhilam Snaanam Samarpayaami ||

Then wipe with a clean cloth. Perform Panchopchaar worship-poojan with Kumkum (Vermilion), Akshat (Unbroken Rice), Pushpa (Flowers), Neivedh (Sweets/Fruit offerings), Dhoop (Incense) – Deep (Lamp) –

Om Nikhilam Kumkum Samarpayaami ||

Om Nikhilam Akshtaan Samarpayaami ||

Om Nikhilam Pushpam Samarpayaami ||

Om Nikhilam Neivedhyam Samarpayaami ||

Om Nikhilam Dhoopam Aardhyaapayaami, Deepam Darshayaami ||

                              (show Dhoop, Deep)

Now rotate three Achmani (spoonful) water around the Guru Picture/Statue/Yantra/Paduka and drop it on ground. Then chant 1 rosary round of Guru Mantra with Guru Mala –

Om Param Tatvaaya Naaraayanaaya Gurubhayo NamaH

Thereafter perform the main worship as detailed below. Setup Saraswati Picture near Guru-Picture and apply a mark on Saraswati-Picture with Ashtagandha or Chandan.

Draw a triangle on a plate with Ashtagandha, and write ‘ऐं’ Beeja Mantra in its center. This represents Saraswati deity in Tantra. Offer flowers and Akshat.

Now setup the Mantra consecrated-energized wearable Saraswati Yantra on the  just written ‘ऐं’ Beeja Mantra. A separate Saraswati Yantra is required for each child in the family. Offer Kumkum, Akshat, Flowers and Chandan on all these Yantras. Light ghee lamp on one side and fragrant incense on the other side. Only a single lamp and single incense is enough for all Yantras.

Viniyoga

Pledge taking water in right palm –

Om Asya Shree Vaagvaadinee-Shaaradaa Mantrasya Markandeyakshvalaayanou Rishi Shtragdharaa-Anushtbhou Chandsee Shree Saraswatee Devataa Shree Saraswatee Prasaada Siddhayarthe Jape ViniyogaH ||

Drop the water on the ground.

Nyaasa –

Touch various body-parts with right hand chanting following Mantras.

Om Shreem NamaH Sahastraadi |

Om Ayeim NamaH Bhaale |

Om Kleem Namo Netra-Yugale |

Om Ayeim NamaH Karnadwaye |

Om Soum NamaH Naasaaputadwaye |

Om Namo Naabhou |

Om Hroum NamaH Kanthe |

Om Shreem Namo Hridaye |

Om Ayeim Namo Hasta-Yuge |

Om Kleim NamaH Udare |

Om Soum NamaH Katyaam |

Om Ayeim Namo Guhye |

Om Kleem Namo Janghaayuge |

Om Hroum Namo Jaanu-Dwaye |

Om Shreem NamaH Paadaadi Sarvaange |

Thereafter bathe the Yantras with milk and water. Wipe with a clean cloth, and setup all Mantra consecrated-energized Yantras in the same plate. Worship them through Gandha, Kumkum, Akshat, flowers etc. and offer prasaad. Then meditate with folded hands –

Meditate on the divine form of Goddess Saraswati with folded hands –

Muktaa-Kaanti-Nibhaam Devim, Jyotstraa-Jaala-Vikaashineem |

Muktaa-Haara-Yutaam Shubhraam, Shashi-Khanda-Vimanditaam ||

Vibhranteem Daksha-Hastaabhyaam, Vyaakhyaam Varnasya Maalikaam |

Amriten Tathaa Poorna, Ghatam Divyam Cha Pustakam ||

O Goddess Saraswati, the aura of your holy form shines brightly like pearl, radiating with the intensity of thousands of Suns. She is adorned with pearl necklace, has pure holy skin and is decked with half-moon. Goddess Vaagishwaree has four hands. One right hand displays Vyaakhyaa Mudra, while the other right hand holds alphabet rosary. One left hand carries pot filled with divine nectar, and the other has divine book. I pray to such pious form with all my heart. May you  permanently illuminate my life with divine wisdom and knowledge.
