Kamala Lakshmi Sadhana
Perfection within Life
Fulfilment of Wealth
There are very few things in life which cannot be purchased with money. We need money to obtain all other items. All of us know that money-wealth is not everything, but this money-wealth becomes very significant when purchasing anything.
Humans require wealth to fulfil their basic needs. These needs may be one of the following – children education, social security, better healthcare, luxurious life or a happy-peaceful home. There are many wishes which cannot be fulfilled in absence of money.
A person is recognized in the present era only through his economic status in society. The importance of money and wealth has increased significantly in the current times. We cannot stay aloof from this change for long. Closing your eyes does not make it a night. We cannot isolate ourselves from the world. We do need to accept the fact that even though money is not pleasure itself, it still is an important means to attain happiness.
Today we see that – If a person lacks wealth, his social status also decreases. We need to bring changes within ourselves today, so that we can move forward with the modern times. It is important to note that even though our religious texts had already fore-told this situation much earlier, we forgot our texts. Today, it is much more important to understand our ancient texts rather than learning the importance of money, so that we can avoid financial hardships caused due to lack of money.
Chanakya has clearly stated that –
Tyajayanti Mitraani Dhaneirviheenam
Putraasch Daaraasch Suhajjanaasch |
Tamarshavantam Puraashrayanti Artho
Hi Loke Manushasya BandhuH ||
Meaning the poverty causes wife, son, friend, close relatives, servants and beneficial contacts to leave the person; and they return back to his shelter upon attaining wealth.
The ancient scriptures also recommend four states of progress of human life as “ Dharmaartha Kaama Mokshaanaam Purushaartha Chatushtayam” wherein the first state is religious-faith, wealth (attainment of Lakshmi) is the second one, the third state is Kaam-sex (producing progeny) and Sadhana to attain Moksha-salvation is the fourth one.
The prayer-worship of Lakshmi is an essential worship in our life. We certainly have to accept the significance of attainment of Lakshmi (wealth) even though we may follow any religion, believe in any faith, or consider any ideology.
The existence of religion is not possible without wealth. Therefore the money has the highest importance, and it has always been of paramount significance through-out the human evolution. Thus the scriptures recommend that the person should be prosperous, the rich man is the core ornament of the society and the country.
- One obtains political advancement and favours through permanent residence of Goddess Lakshmi in the house. The blessings of Goddess Lakshmi always bestow success and victory in face of any kind of enmity or obstruction in work.
- The grace of Goddess Lakshmi bestows bravery, enthusiasm and self-confidence. This opens the door to spiritual advancement and attaining divine vision.
- The divine grace of Goddess Lakshmi provides novel consciousness and excitement in life. With the blessings of Lakshmi, a person can become fully competent to protect himself and the health of his family by progressing ahead in life. Supreme material prosperity can only be achieved through the grace of Goddess Lakshmi. Blessings of Goddess Lakshmi also bestows worthy and obedient children.
It is absolutely mandatory for each person to perform the Sadhana of Goddess Kamala, who is the basic manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi. The completion of Kamala Sadhana is highly necessary as the primary focus of each person is to achieve wealth and prosperity. Even the Divine Gods also worship Goddess Lakshmi to complete Their Divine missions. Lord Indra is also dependent on the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Lord Vishnu, the eternal Protector, also requires Goddess Lakshmi’s assistance.
You should perform the basic-root Sadhana of Goddess Lakshmi, the “Kamala Sadhana” according to Kamala Tantra, on Hariyaali Amavasya (23 July 2017) of Shraavan month, if you wish to overthrow poverty and misery away from your life. 23 July 2017
The Sadhana of Goddess Lakshmi is possible only through the Tantra path, and Kamala Sadhana makes it very easy. The Kamala Tantra clearly states the importance of accomplishing Kamala Sadhana to attain incredible wealth-prosperity in life. One can achieve all that one requires in this life, by performing this Sadhana.
It is significant to note that apart from bestowing complete peace and spiritual-elevation, this Kamala Sadhana also provides a continuous incredible flow of wealth and prosperity. It is called by twelve holy names in the Tantra. Uttering these twelve names in itself provides complete accomplishment. How can a Sadhak face any deficiency after performing Kamala Sadhana during an auspicious muhurath during Shraavan month, Purushottam month, Kartik month, Navaraatri or any other auspicious occasion?
The Twelve names of Goddess Kamala are as follows:
- Daaridraya Haarinee
- Sarvamaangalya Yuktaa
The scriptures recommend to perform this Sadhana in early morning. The time can change as per the auspicious muhuraths. Before starting the Sadhana, you should keep the Sadhana materials – Kamala Yantra, Dhwaadash Jyotirratan, Kamalgatta Rosary and worship articles – Water-container, Saffron, Ashtagandha, Akshat (Unbroken Rice), Nariyal (Coconut), fruits, milk-based offering, flowers etc. in front of you. The usage of Ashtagandha is especially beneficial in Kamala Sadhana, so the Sadhaks should prepare by pre-mixing it with water.
According to the Kamala Tantra, the Sadhak should adorn Yellow garments after taking a bath, and sit on a Yellow Asana facing North direction. Spread Yellow cloth on a wooden board in front of you and setup Lakshmi picture on it. Setup Guru-picture near Goddess Lakshmi picture and perform panchopchaar poojan of Guru picture. After completing Guru poojan-worship, you should proceed ahead with worship as follows-
First you should wash “Mantra Siddha Prana Pratishthaa Yukt Kamala Yantra” with pure water. Thereafter, bathe Kamala Yantra using Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar). After the Panchamrit bath, wash it with pure water and place in front of Goddess Lakshmi Yantra.
After this, with folded hands, pray for the peace of the Navagrahas –
Navagraha Prayer –
Om Bhahmaa Muraaristripuraantakaaree BhanuH Shashi Bhoomisuto Budhascha Guruscha ShukraH Shani RaahuketavaH SarvegrahaaH Shaantikaraa Bhavantu ||
After the Navagraha prayer, put a new yellow cloth in a plate and place it on the Wooden Board. Make sixteen bindi marks on the cloth with Sindoor (Vermilion). First make four marks in a row, and repeat this for four rows, making four marks in each row totalling 16 marks. Place a piece of clove and a piece of cardamom on each mark and worship with Ashtagandha. Meditate with folded hands chanting following Mantra-
Kavarim Krishna Vastravrtaangaam |
Dandam Lingam Karaabjeirvaramatha
Bhuvanam Sandadhateem Trinetraam ||
Naanaa Ratneirvibhaataam Smita-Mukha
-Kamalaam Sevitaam Deva-Deva-Sarve
Bhaaryaa Raa Gyeem Namo Bhoota Sa-Ravi-Kala
-Tanumaakshraye Ishwareem Twaam ||
Those Sadhaks who are not well-versed in Sanskrit language should not get worried and they can slowly chant this Meditation Mantra.
Then setup Mantra Siddha Praana Pratishthaayukta “Kamala Yantra” on the Yellow cloth (on which you made sixteen bindi-marks) with full devotion on a seat of flowers. Mark 16 bindi-marks on the Yantra with Ashtagandha.
After this, set up twelve Jyotirratan (representing the twelve forms of Goddess Lakshmi) around Kamala Yantra. These are symbols of Goddess Lakshmi forms of Mahalakshmi, Rinnmuktaa, Hiranmayee, Raajatanayaa, Daaridraya Haarinee, Kaanchanaa, Jayaa, Raajaraajeshwari, Varadaa, Kanakavarnaa, Padmaasanaa and Sarvamaangalyaa Yuktaa. Worship these twelve Shaktis of Goddess Lakshmi through Akshat, Kumkum, flowers etc. chanting following Mantras –
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmi Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Rinnmuktaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Hiranmayee Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Raajatanayaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Daaridraya Haarinee Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Kaanchanaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Jayaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Raajeshwaree Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Varadaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Kanakavarnaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Padmaasanaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Sarvamaangalyaa Sthaapayaami NamaH ||
Thereafter taking flowers and rice in both hands, offer the flowers, rice on the Yantra, invoking Goddess Kamala into your home –
Aahvaan Mantra –
Om Brahmaa Rishaye NamaH Shirasi | Gaayatrischandase NamaH Mukhe | Shree Jaganmaatra Mahaalakshmyei Devataayei NamaH Hradi | Shreem Beejaaya NamaH Guhye | Sarveshta Siddhaye Mama Dhanaaptaye Mamaabhishtapraaptaye Jape Viniyogaaya NamaH Sarvaange |
After this, the Sadhak should light a lamp of pure ghee, worship it and then ignite the fragrant incense. After doing this, the Sadhak should offer Kumkum on the Yantra, offer flowers and flower-garland, offer Akshat-rice; and offer Taambul, fruits and Dakshina-money.
After the invocation of Goddess Kamala and worship, the next step in this Sadhana-practice is reading of the “Kavach”. This rare Kavach should be read five times, and this is a very significant step. The reading of Kavach sets up a direct connection between the subconsciousness of Sadhak and the Yantra, and accomplishment of this Sadhana grants aura-glow, intensity, strength, wisdom and luxury to the Sadhak.
This Kavach was pronounced by Santakumar to please Goddess Lakshmi. The Kamala Upanishad contains a very important Sadhana-practice of this small Kavach.

In fact, this Kavach elucidated above is highly significant and important. Even a daily recital of this Kavach eleven times bestows wealth, prosperity, and glory throughout life.
One should chant this Kavach five times in this Sadhana-practice. After completion of the Kavach recital, the “Kamalgatta Rosary” should be worshipped with Kumkum, Akshat, flowers etc. Thereafter the Sadhak should chant 16 mala-rosary rounds of the following Kamala Mantra with “Kamalgatta Rosary”
|| Om Ayeim Ieem Hreem Shreem Kleem Hoo SauH Jagatprasootyei NamaH ||
After completion of chanting of 16 rosary-rounds, the Aarti of Goddess Lakshmi should be performed with full rituals. The Yantra, Mala-rosary and Twelve Jyotirratan should be placed in the worship-place.
The entire set of Sadhana articles along with Dakshina-money should be immersed in a running stream or river after 1.25 months.
