Dialog with Loved Ones …
Dear Loved One,
Divine Blessings,
Thousands of Sadhaks accomplished Bhuvaneshwari Mahakali Sadhana during the greatest Mahaparv of Sadhana, the Shakti Parva. It is an honour for me that my Sadhaks are continuously progressing on the Sadhana path. This Parva-festival of Shakti is the festival of asceticism and joy. Asceticism means to awaken our inner fire, to activate our inner energy. I firmly believe that the power emerges only from the inner mind of the Sadhak. One who performs Sadhana is a Sadhak. There is no difference between men and women. All are equal on the Sadhana path. The more activities-actions one offers in this sacrificial-fire of asceticism-tenacity, the more intense, elevated, bright, luminous, and energetic his life becomes.
Let me narrate a small story, which mothers often tell their daughters. Once upon a time, an evil monster kidnapped a princess, and locked her in a dark castle which was guarded by fierce crocodiles in the surrounding moat. A giant dragon used to guard the main door. The princess used to cry alone all the time waiting for the prince of her dreams to come and liberate her from the prison. Many years passed away. She used to daily hope for a prince to come and liberate her. And the story continues in this form.
All of these myths indicate that the female form is very delicate and weak. In reality, the female is the powerhouse of energy. Think seriously on this topic. Do you still listen to such foolish stories, and tell them to your children. You may keep repeating these myths, but is this is acceptable to a woman because she is fully capable.
Let me relate a correct fact. When the mother was telling this story to her daughter one night, the daughter questioned why the princess was waiting for a prince to come and liberate her? If I were in her place, I would not have waited for arrival of a prince. I would have thought a plan to kill that evil monster and free myself up. That princess was very lazy and foolish. Why did she not try herself to kill the monster and get freedom.
This baby is completely correct, nobody will come to free you, to liberate you. You will become free only when this process starts within you. This inner power is same within both men and women. Neither our Vedas nor our Upanishads talk about any division between men and women. This inner power cannot flow upwards until we realize its presence. We give many examples of brave women, but how many of us apply this example in our own home? This is a topic worth discussing. This Shakti Parva encompasses the Ashwin month and the Kartik month. The Shakti literally means the feminine element. The female is always full of revolution. She has the inner energy to break all Tantra-system bondages. She keeps demonstrating this power. The female brain is multi-dimensional. Why has our mentality degraded so much that we respect women but do not think of them as our equal. Does a woman has lesser life, or lesser strength or intelligence. Does a man becomes more powerful simply because he can lift 2-4 Kg more weight than her. Only the woman have the power to give birth to a new life. She can develop this life in her own womb. In reality, the woman power is the supreme power. The woman power is the basic energy. She can do any task in this world at an equal level. Her progress embodies the real progress of the family, society and the country. Give proper and equal education-learning environment to females in your home, community and society. Your own progress is linked to the progress of your wife and your children.
You perform the Sadhanas of ten Mahavidhyas. You chant the holy Mantras of Bhuvaneshwari, Chhinnamasta, Kali and Baglamukhi. It is very good practice. You should implement this Mantra in your life as well. This fact is relevant to each man and woman. There is no differentiation between man and woman. You are just a disciple for the Guru. You are an equal component of the divinity. You have to become full of action-tasks, honouring and respecting this divinity and discipleship. Neither Shakti nor Shiva can be separated from you.
The Navratri, and the Diwali are the festival celebrating this female energy. The main focus of all actions of man is to obtain the wealth, the MahaLakshmi. These actions performed by man are called Purusharths. One obtains the Female-element, the Shakti element only after performing those Purusharths. The divine form of Lord Shiva is also Ardhanareeshwara, which contains a balance of both Shakti and Shiva.
What is the essential element to attain Shakti-power? Respect. One achieves excellence only after giving the respect. The Purusharths is the only medium to obtain Shakti-power. Anyone denigrating himself as worthless or wretched; will certainly become lazy and fatalistic. He just keeps awaiting for the opportune time in his life. This opportune time never comes in his life.
Anyone who respects his own appearance, body, mind and soul, whatever be his or her sex, certainly comes closer to self. Only one who comes closer to self, respects self, and can realize and experience divinity. Only such a person can imbibe Guru element completely within his or her own self.
Who is a benevolent person? It is not enough to be just generous. Only one who respects his own heart, his mind, his thoughts, his feelings and his values can be called as a benevolent person. Such a person does not get affected by his appearance, face, height or stature. He respects himself for whatever he is. He can become benevolent and progress ahead. Shakti also accompanies such Shivatva emotion individuals.
When our thoughts itself are wavering, then what will we live for?
There is a definite goal in each person’s life. Everyone is proceeding to a certain death after taking birth. A Sadhak is the one having a definite goal, and this goal arises only from the inner mind. Don’t tell me that you do not know the goal of your life. This is your own goal. You yourself are a specific component of divinity. Set up your own goal yourself, and proceed ahead on the path.
Cordially yours
Nand Kishore Shrimali
