अपनों से अपनी बात…
प्रिय आत्मन्,
आशीर्वाद,

 

सर्वप्रथम आप सभी को रायपुर अमृत महोत्सव की बहुत-बहुत बधाई। आप सभी का विराट् संगम, सेवा, भावना, प्रत्येक शिष्य में कार्य करने का उत्साह, सभी मेरे मन को विभोर कर गया। मेरा कोटि-कोटि आशीर्वाद, आपके जीवन में निखिल अमृत कलश का निर्झर प्रवाह, अविरल प्रवाह सदैव और सदैव प्रवाहित होता रहे। आप नित्य-नित्य उस आनन्द को अनुभव करते रहे।

 

फिर आज गुरु और शिष्य की बात कहना चाहता हूं कि इनका आपस में क्या सम्बन्ध होता है – बौद्धिक या मानसिक? बौद्धिक स्तर पर तो गुरु से कैसे मिल सकते हो? गुरु के प्रति बुद्धि के द्वारा आकर्षण नहीं हो सकता है यह तो मानस के स्तर पर ही घटित हो सकता है। जहां कोई भेद नहीं, कोई शर्त नहीं केवल और केवल श्रद्धा समर्पण का भाव। उस गुरु के चिन्तन में, सद्गुरु के विग्रह में हम अपने आत्म भाव में इतना अधिक डूब जाये कि गुरु का सबकुछ अपना-अपना सा लगे। परम शांति उपलब्ध हो जाएं। उनकी हर चेष्टा में, हर कार्य में हम अपने आपको आनन्द भाव से अनुभव करे, तो यह केवल मानस के स्तर पर ही हो सकता है। मस्तिष्क और बुद्धि का यहां क्या काम है? ‘‘त्वम् प्राण मम प्राण, त्वम् चिन्तय मम चिन्तय’’, यह बड़ी घटना है।

 

दोस्तों, इस संसार में जो कुछ हमने देखा है, सीखा है, जाना है, वह सब तो बुद्धि का भाव बन गया है, अब उस बुद्धि के भाव को अपने मन के भीतर के भाव से साथ जोड़ना बड़ा कठिन कार्य है। ऐसे में जरूरत है जो हमें हाथ थाम कर उस अज्ञात पथ पर, मन के मार्ग पर ले जायें, जो बुद्धि के लिये अनजान मार्ग है। इस अज्ञात पथ को समझने के लिये गुरु द्वारा जो अनुशाासन प्रदान किया जाता है, वही तो दीक्षा और शक्तिपात है। तब परिवर्तन एक विपरित दिशा में होने लगता है और जब इस परिवर्तन को पूर्ण श्रद्धा के साथ स्वीकार कर लेते है तो गुरु शिष्य का प्रगाढ़ सम्बन्ध, एकत्व का भाव बन जाता है। श्रद्धा ही तो मन का आधार है।

 

इस मानस के मार्ग पर बुद्धि बार-बार रुकावटें डालती है। अब यह भी बात है कि संसार में चलने के लिये बुद्धि की आवश्यकता तो पड़ती है फिर आप कहते हो, गुरुदेव मैं कर्म करता हूं पर मुझे सफलता नहीं मिलती। मूल प्रश्‍न है कि – सफलता का पैमाना आपने क्या बना रखा है? यदि सफलता केवल व्यवस्था में उंचा उठने हेतु है तो यह सफलता बहुत ही अधूरी है। यह सफलता आपके मन को छू भी नहीं पायेगी।

 

मूल प्रश्‍न है कि – तुम स्वतंत्र हो या परतंत्र हो? यदि तुम केवल भौतिक व्यवस्था का अंग हो तो दूसरों से संचालित हो रहे हो। हर समय तुम्हारी बुद्धि में दूसरों के भाव आ रहे है तो परतंत्र हो, दूसरों से संचालित हो रहे हो। जो तुम्हें सिखाया गया है उसके अनुसार कार्य करते हो। हर बात को प्रतियोगिता मानते हो और हर प्रतियोगिता में अव्वल आने का प्रयास करते हो। इस भाग-दौड़ में तुम आगे बढ़ जाते हो और तुम्हारी खुशी, तुम्हारा मन बहुत पीछे रह जाता है। यह सोच कहां से आई है? तुम्हारे भीतर की सोच नहीं है। यह तुम्हारी बुद्धि में बाहर से भरा गया है और इसे ही तुमने श्रेष्ठ मान लिया है।

 

फिर प्रश्‍न आता है कि खुशी कहां मिलेगी? निश्‍चित तौर पर तुम्हें अपने मन में ही मिलेगी और बुद्धि से ही मिलेगी। तो सरल सूत्र क्या है? सरल सूत्र यह है कि –

 

तुम किसी के गुलाम मत बनो…
तुम किसी को अपना गुलाम मत बनाओं…

 

बहुत छोटा सूत्र है – पर है बड़ा गंभीर। इसके लिये मानस की स्वतंत्रता चाहिए और स्वतंत्रता का अर्थ है – अनुशासन। संयम के साथ प्रयास करने की क्रिया। जहां संयम है, वहां अनुशासन है, वहां बुद्धि की लगाम स्वयं के हाथों में है। जहां संयम नहीं है, वहां यम है। यह बुद्धि पर लगाम मन की स्वतंत्रता का पहला कदम है। बढ़ना तो बहुत आगे है लेकिन उसके लिये संयम और अनुशासन के साथ अपने मन को भी समझना है। यदि तुम अपने मन की सत्ता स्वयं नहीं संभाल सकते हो तो अपनी बुद्धि को तो अपने मन की सत्ता मत दो। अपने मन की सत्ता गुरुतत्व को दे दो। वह गुरु भीतर की दुर्व्यवस्था को अवश्य ठीक करेगा और तुम्हारे तन-मन को तुम्हें वापिस सौंप देगा। जिससे तुम अपने मन के साथ प्रसन्न हो सको। अपने मन के साथ अपने आपको जोड़ सको, यही तो गुरु का कार्य है। यही तुम्हारी वास्तविक स्वतंत्रता है।

 

इसीलिये ईश्‍वर से डरो मत, धर्म भीरू मत होओं। ईश्‍वर के सामने केवल और केवल अपने पापों को धोने की प्रार्थना मत करो। ईश्‍वर को केवल और केवल पाप-दोष मिटाने का माध्यम मत बनाओं। ईश्‍वर तो प्रेम का भाव है, जहां प्रेम तत्व है वहां तो मन से वार्तालाप किया जाता है। उसके लिये सुधार तो तुम्हें अपने भीतर ही करना पड़ेगा। जो व्यवस्था तुम दूसरों से चाहते हो, वही व्यवस्था तुम्हें अपने भीतर भी स्थापित करनी पड़ेगी। शारीरिक स्वच्छता, मानसिक स्वच्छता, अनुशासन, स्वयं का कार्य तुम्हें खुद करना है। दूसरों को आदेश देने से पहले स्वयं को आदेश दो।

 

तुम बड़े जोर-जोर से कहते हो कि – मैं बहुत बड़ा भक्त हूं, मैं गुरु की सेवा में पूरी दुनिया में डंका बजा दूंगा। मैं किसी भी प्रकार का संघर्ष करने के लिये तैयार हूं। मैं गुरु का नाम विश्‍व में फैला दूंगा। इतनी बड़ी-बड़ी बातों की आवश्यकता नहीं। यदि तुमने प्रेम से, अपने कार्य से, अपने स्वभाव से दस-पांच लोगों को जोड़ दिया तो यह भी बहुत बड़ा कार्य होगा। बड़े-बड़े संकल्पों की घोषणा की आवश्यकता नहीं है। तुम लोगों को जोड़ों और यह जुड़ाव तुम्हारे प्रेममय भाव के द्वारा ही संभव होगा। तुम अपने आप पर भी जबरदस्ती मत करो। जहां तुमने अपनी बुद्धि द्वारा, अपने मन के ऊपर जबरदस्ती प्रारम्भ की वहां तुम अपने आपको खो दोगे। गुरु तो तुम्हें जीवन्त, अमृृतमय रखना चाहते है। गुरु की सेवा तो, श्रद्धा के साथ लोगों को जोड़ना है, इस कार्य को तुम प्रेम भाव से सहयोग से सम्पन्न कर सकते हो। तुम अपने धनदान के साथ मन दान भी दो। तन, धन और मन, त्रिभावों में मन का भाव सर्वोपरि है। यही तुम गुरु पूर्णिमा अयोध्या हेतु करो, अपने साथ 10-20 लोगों को जोड़ों, एक संघ के रूप में वहां आकर तीन दिन मेरे पास बैठ सको तो यह मेरे लिये परम आनन्द पर्व अवश्य होगा।

 

तुम्हारे प्रयास, तुम्हारे भाव के साथ अवश्य ही सफल होंगे और जो भाव तुम्हारे मन में उत्पन्न होते है, उन भावों की सदैव-सदैव रक्षा करते रहना। तुम स्वतंत्र बनो… स्वतंत्र…

At the onset, heartiest congratulations to all of you for the Raipur Amrit Mahotsava. The collaboration, spirit to serve and awesome enthusiasm deeply impressed me. My heartfelt blessings to you, may the spiritual  Nikhil Amrit Kalash continue to flow unabatedly in your life. May you continue to experience this divine joy forever!

Today, I wish to talk about the relationship between the Guru and the disciple – Is it intellectual or mental? How to get to Gurudev at the intellectual level? Attraction towards Gurudev is not possible at the intellectual state, it is possible only within the mental plane. Without any difference or distinction, devoid of any pre-condition, and constituting only of dedication and devotion. We immerse ourselves deeply within the thoughts of Gurudev, we merge our spiritual self with Gurudev, so much such that we consider everything of Guru as our own. We achieve the state of ultimate peace. We obtain joy with each effort, every action of Gurudev, this is possible only at the level of the psyche. What is the necessity of the brain and intelligence here? The “Twam Praan Man Praan, Twam Chintaye Mam Chintaye” is a major event.

Friends, whatever we see in this world, learn, or comprehend,  becomes a part of our knowledge. Now, it is a very difficult task to merge this knowledge-intellect with the inner spirit of your mind. At this moment we need someone, who can hold our fingers, guide us and take us further on the mental path, a path which the intellect know nothing about. Diksha and Shaktipaat is nothing but the disciple granted by Gurudev to make us understand this unknown path. This causes emergence of a change from the opposite direction, and when we accept this change with complete reverence and devotion, then the intimate relationship between the Gurudev-disciple becomes stronger and both merge to become one. Faith is the basis of the mind.

The intellect repeatedly puts obstacles on the path of this psyche. It is also a matter of fact that we require intelligence to succeed in this world. Then you ask me, ” I perform actions and Karma, yet I do not achieve success.” The basic question is: – What, according to you, is the scale of success? If you equate success to just an elevation-rise within the organization-system, then your definition of success is highly incomplete. Such success will not be able to even touch your mind.

The moot point is – Are you independent or subordinate? If you are only a part-composite of the physical organization-system then you are working according to wishes of others. If your mind contains ideas-thoughts from others, if you work as per desires of others, then you are a subordinate-dependent. You act and perform tasks as others tell you to.  You consider everything as a competition and try to win every competition. You get ahead in this race, but your happiness, and your mind gets left out. Where did this thinking come from? This did not come from within you. Others have filled these thoughts within your mind-intellect and you mistakenly think of these as the most appropriate for you.

Then the question arises, where to seek happiness from? You will definitely get it within your own mind, through your own intellect. What is the best way to achieve it? The simple formula is –You do not belong to anyone …You do not make anyone your slave …

 

This is a very small, but very pertinent formula. It requires complete freedom of the mind. Freedom means – discipline. Trying out, with patience. Patience inculcates discipline, and gives us the reins of the intellect. Absence of any restraint yields Yama or death. This discipline over the intellect is the first step to achieve freedom of mind. We have a big path ahead of us, but we also need to comprehend our mind with patience and disciple to forge ahead. At least do not give the power over your mind to your intellect, if you cannot handle the power of your mind yourself. Give Gurudev the power to control your mind. Gurudev will definitely correct inner deficiencies, and will later hand over your mind and body to you. This will enable you to become happy with your own mind. Guru’s task is to let you merge your own self with your own mind. This is your real freedom.

Therefore, you should not be afraid of God, you should not fear religion. Do not pray to God to just wash away your sins. God should not become a medium just to wipe away the sins-misfortune. God is the expression of love. The presence of the love element triggers a dialogue  with the mind. You will have to improve within your own for yourself. You will need to setup the system within your own self, whatever system you expect from others. You have to yourself maintain the physical-body hygiene, mental hygiene, discipline and self-work. Order yourself before ordering others.

You shout aloud that – I am a great devotee, I will serve Guru like none else in the world. I am ready to fight any kind of battle. I shall propagate Guru’s teachings across the entire globe. There is no need to do such great things. It will be a major achievement if you are able to add even five or ten people through love, by your efforts, through your` own nature. There is no need to announce large resolutions. Connect additional people, and this is possible only through your love and devotion. There is no need to force yourself. You will lose yourself, the moment you try to control your intellect and your mind through force. Guru wishes to keep you alive, for ever. The service to Guru is to connect more people with faith. You can accomplish this task with love and cooperation. You should donate your mind along with money. The expression of the mind is the best among the Tan (Body), Man (Mind) and Dhan (Wealth). You ought to do this for Guru Poornima Ayodhya, connect 10-20 more folks, and sit with me as a group for three days there. This will give me ultimate joy.

Your efforts will certainly be successful through your enthusiastic spirits. Keep protecting the values and emotions which arise in your mind. Become Free … Free …
