A Dialog with loved ones …
Dear loved ones,
Nagendraharaye Trilochanaye Bhasmadagaragaye Maheshwaraye |
Nityaye Suddhaye Digambaraye Tasme “Na” Karaye Nama:H Shivaye ||
This Panchaakshari Stotra of Lord Shiva is very dear to me, and
whenever I read this ode, or reminisce it, I experience a new
different meaning each time. Lord Shiva accompanies Divine Shakti
power all the time, is constantly engaged in, and is always full of
divine joy decked with ashes. I had a good fortune to visit Mahakaal
Ujjain some days ago. For past some years of my life, it has become a
routine that I visit Mahakaal at least once every year, on one pretext
or the other. This time, the Sadhana Camp offered the opportunity.
That afternoon, Lord Mahakaal was anointed and decorated with
Rudraaksh beads, and I felt untimate happiness in my heart and mind, and experienced divine peace, upon touching and wearing those Rudraksh in my neck.
Whenever I view Mahakaal, my mind gets filled with the Divine form of Lord Shiva. Mahakaal i.e. the one who controls even the time, He who is fully capable to take one from death to immortality and this simply is the plain meaning of life, the outstanding journey of life.
Death does not simply mean end of life. I believe that death is a
synonym of debt, disease, poverty, humiliation, powerlessness and an individual who is afraid of circumstances of inferiority, deficiencies and obstacles, he can never be victorious in life. To win in life, one
has to face all the problems and obstacles on the path, with complete
perfection. Life is the name of a great journey where good, bad, rough
and thorny slopes are inevitable. You have to face them even if you do
not wish to. You now have two choices, either labor lamenting with
timidity & submissiveness or the other path is to face the problems
with full patience & strength, keeping the deep flame of victory
always ignited in your life. This sense of light will guide you
throughout your life. This has been termed as “Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaye” in our scriptures.
Adoration of Lord Shiva sometimes with ashes and at other times with full makeup indicates that all types of circumstances do keep coming in life, and the greatest austerity and Sadhana is to continue
unwaveringly, without getting swayed. Thus there is a merger of Guru
and disciple, Guru is the flame of wisdom in the life of disciple.
The Guru’s mission is to transmit the energy into the mind of the disciple. Always remember that the human mind is very strong and powerful. Its power can be enhanced further, because humans normally utilize only a very minute fraction of their resident inner energy and there are multiple potentials of growing this utilization.
Similarly, the mental tendency of man is ever playful and fickle,
there is an innate desire that whatever occurs in the world, occurs
for his own good; and that all types of situations are ever-favorable
to him. He wishes to continuously obtain fame, glory and favors, but
this is not practically possible. Everyone desires a lot in life. We
constantly strive to reach the pinnacle of success, fame, wealth,
authority, power, love and harmony; and whenever we fail to achieve
them, then we experience suffering, disappointment and indignation
within ourselves. We tend to blame ourselves in everything, degrade
ourselves; and shut all doors of change in our lives. We plan to live
life in plain ordinary fashion, continue in life with basic normal
thoughts and in a way, we keep waiting for our turn to die.
We should always remember that God has conceptualized us as His best creation we have to prove in our life that we are the best creations of the Almighty God.
We should always respect others and have a constant urge to learn something from them. Whatever we give to others in this life, it returns back to us. The humanity is the best creation of God, and therefore, a person should lead life with the virtues, morals and values of God. Always be passionate to your work, do not have excessive curiosity towards the results, as this may lead to suffering. Continue working objectively. You will definitely obtain success, and you should always think positively during analysis and assessments. If you currently have a problem, then do not worry that solution is not possible. God has not created any such obstacle, which does not have a solution. It is within man’s reach to resolve each and every problem, and thereby obtain solutions.
It is important to retain similar balance in good and bad times, and we should maintain ideal model thinking in both types of conditions.
Patience is required only during adverse times, so you should ensure
to make decisions consistent with the current circumstances and
situations; since love is eternal but hatred has a small timespan.
You should have full control over your body, mind and behavior in all
kinds of circumstances, because if we get nervous, hasty or despair,
then we already lose half the battle before even start of the
conflict. When problems arrive, you should understand that you have a new quality within you and you should face these obstacles with full
strength and confidence. All obstacles come with their own solutions,
a philosopher has once remarked that the obstacles increase the joy of victory, you can never comprehend or relish victory without them.
Resolution of problems require strong willpower and continuous hard work, you need to immediately create a working plan, a basic framework to address the problem. Do not feel sad while confronted with issues beyond your control, your endeavor while surrounded with obstacles
should be to conquer them with your energy, strength and efforts. Do not run to multiple people for solutions, otherwise they will discourage you more. Stay concentrated on your duties and work-plan, and maintain confidence that everything will be resolved in its own
Our thoughts drive the plan of our work. No task can be accomplished without proper thinking and special thinking is required for each and every exceptional task. This coordination of thoughts and practice is called Sadhana.
Whenever you sit down to meditate in Sadhana, do not just let mantras emanate out of your lips, rather take these mantras to your mind and intellect. Then these mantras merge with your inner Praanasch Chetna energy, and these mantras get set up with full force in each atom of your body.
Lord Shiva is always with the Divine Shakti power, neither the divine
Shakti power can exist without Lord Shiva, nor can Lord Shiva exist
without the divine Shakti power. It is a very deep philosophy, the
joy of life can only be realized by living life with full energetic
power through an objective detached attitude.
Our Sadhana shivir camps are organized to practice this Shakti
Sadhana, we chant mantras to achieve the same Shakti Sadhana, worship is performed to attain the same Shakti Sadhana, and the merger of Guru and disciple also takes place to realize the same Shakti Sadhana. God is the manifestation of the Shakti energy, which is spread all across around us in nature. It is important to comprehend which particles of this power we can hold together. Every Karma task takes place to realize this Shakti power within ourselves.
We should offer homage to our Pitreshwaron ancestors during the coming Shraadh paksha, and we should perform memorial service, worship and offer libations to them properly following all rites and rituals. We should always remember the Gods related to our life, and our ancestors have a direct connection with our life. You are a tiny portion of them in these current times. Offer libations to these Gods through your Sadhanas.
Cession is one of the greatest pleasures of life and this cession
should be through complete dedication. Joy is always ever present
wherever there is dedication, i.e dedicating yourself with full joy,
offering yourself to the Divinity, is the true tribute, the true
Guru, Gods, Almighty own your dedication, They always assume whatever you offer and express to Them. Therefore, it is repeatedly stated to offer with Total Dedication. Guru and God always enjoin you to perform your duties, your tasks. It is their right. They continuously motivate you tread the path of action and tasks. They provide you immense power to walk on this route. So you should have absolute devotion and dedication towards Guru and God. There should not be any deficiency in this. Guru and God are the only sustainer and ever-provider. The rest of the worldly relations exist only to take something from you.
You should certainly perform Jagdamba Shakti poojan in your home during the Shakti Sadhana Navratri festival (October 13, 2015 to October 21,2015). The Shakti Sadhana during Navratri is the most important task in the world. There should not be any laziness in this task. I visualize the moments in future when the nine-day continuous Durga worship is occurring in the home of each and every sadhak, and I am certain that this will be done.
The essence of life is in this immortal quote of Lord Krishna –
Sarvdharmanparityajaye Maamekam Sharnam Vajra |
Aham Tvaa Sarvpaapebhya Mokshyishyaami Maa Shucha:H ||
You surrender yourself, I will certainly grant the joy of liberation.
